New horse in the stable

My brother's RX-7 has been sitting at my parents house for a while. Well its gotta get out of there, and I couldn't see junking it. So I'm taking it home. I believe its a 85 GSL-SE. Its either an 85 or an 84. They were the only 2 years they had the 1st gen RX-7 body with the GSL-SE option - the new 13b powerplant. Can't wait to start checking it out.

yeah. It looks like it needs paint really really badly. That and the interior is totally faded - so much so that its ugly.

And I looked online to see what I should do to get a rotory back in shape after sitting for 15 years. It looks like it could be a long and complicated process if the engine doesn't want to cooperate....so at this point I'm considering maybe the first thing I should do is pull the motor. Just not even trying to get it started - just yank it. Supposedly you can ruin the rotor housing(basically like an engine block for a piston motor) if the apex seals aren't working properly. And dad thinks thats what the problem was in the first place - a blown apex seal.

Next step - yank motor.
